Ryan Stimming

Trustee
Middle aged bald man in white shirt
  • Years as Trustee: 4 years

I moved to Invermere in 2002 to pursue a career in the ski industry. I have been working at Panorama Mountain Resort since then and am currently the Risk and Safety Programs Manager.

I am married with two children. We enjoy snowboarding, camping, fishing, and mountain biking together.

The aspects of education that are most important to me are:

    1. Transparent communication between the board of education, faculty and parents.
    2. Curriculum compliance. The curriculum is set by the Ministry of Education and is the cornerstone of the provincial education plan.
    3. Access to Resources. Students and teachers have the best opportunity to succeed when they are equipped with the right resources and support.
